I began reviewing advances and proofs for books on a low level in 2011, when I became more active in the Goodreads community. At this point, my reviews were more for personal use since I often forget what I have read and what I enjoyed.

However, as time progressed, I began to branch out and receive proofs from other sources, including Penguin’s First to Read and Netgalley. The more I received books for review, the more I wanted to read. My appetite for new literature is insatiable, and I wish to share my love with everyone.

This blog is designed to help you, the reader, decide what book to bring to the beach, tossed into your tote under your towel and sunscreen. I do my best reading with my toes in the sand and sun on my face, and hope that this comes through on your screen as you see my recommendations.

I’ll be rating on an out of five system, five “waves” being the best, because what better way to rate something than with a splash?
