Happy Wednesday! Wednesday is one of my favorite days for book blogging, because I love participating in and hearing everyone else’s WWW Wednesday, The WWW Wednesday meme is currently hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, and is a great way to do a weekly update on what you’ve been reading and what you have planned.

To take part, all you have to do is answer the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
So, without further ado…
What I am Currently Reading:
These are both carry overs from last week – it took me longer to read and review On Borrowed Crime than I thought it would, so here we are. The Inspector of Strange and Unexplained Deaths is an ARC, but is actually a translation of a book from the French that has been out since 2015. As of now, the mystery is good, but the male lens is atrocious. why Have I had such bad luck with male writers recently? As for Hooked on Ewe, this is book two in the Scottish Highlands Mystery series, and while I wasn’t completely enamoured with the first book, it was fun and light enough to want to read the second.
What I Recently Finished Reading:
After I binge read the entire Hidden Legacy series, I had to reread the newest one, Emerald Blaze, to finish my compulsion. No regrets. I also finally finished On Borrowed Crime, which was an ARC that was badly formatted. I found it hard to get through, and cathartic to finish and review it. Hopefully my currently books are better than this.
What I Think I’ll Read Next:
Thank goodness my library allows for 21 day ebook borrowing limits, because I have had Mums and Mayhem queued up for almost that long and I just re-requested it. I really enjoyed the first two books, but life has gotten in the way. I am also so excited to say I won a copy of Orphan of Cemetery Hill on a Goodreads giveaway this week! It almost feels fateful, since I featured Orphans on my #5OnMyTBR list last week, and it is the first Goodreads giveaway I have won since January.
That’s my WWW this week! Please leave a comment and your WWW link so we can chat. Happy reading! 🙂
The Inspector of Strange and Unexplained Deaths has such an interesting and haunting cover! I hope you enjoy all of your reads 🙂

Yay for Goodreads giveaways. I’ve won two books previously and an e-book just a couple of weeks ago that I have to get around to reading. Hooked on Ewe looks like something I could get into. I’ve been reading some pretty heavy stuff lately and could use the change. Here’s my week:

It is so exciting to win them, since I feel like it is fairly rare. Definitely read for a break from heavier stuff; I feel like half of my year has been taken up by cozies because I was avoiding heavy stuff while being quarantined. Hope you enjoy!

One day I am sure you will! It often feels like when it rains, it pours with Goodreads giveaways (in a good way). Hope you enjoy! Cozies are so nice to help unwind with. Happy reading 🙂

I hope you enjoy! I am having some trouble with it, particularly how the women are portrayed, but I am only about 15 percent in. Happy reading!

That doesn’t sound too good. Hope it will get better!

It’s so frustrating when an ARC is badly formated or the formating isn’t compatible with a kindle or something. I glad you made it through though, well done! 🙂
