WWW Wednesday (on Thursday because I’m on Island Time)

This is my second week trying this out, and I must say it is fun! This meme is hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. All of my covers link to Goodreads!

Why not join in? Just answer the following three questions in a post and then put a link to that post in the comments over at Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

1   What I am readingThe One, by Kiera Cass. This is book three in The Selection series which focuses on America Singer, a girl living in a dystopian society where 36 girls must compete for the future king’s hand in marriage. This is 100% a deviation from what I thought I would be reading now as of last week’s post, but I read the first one and was immediately sucked in. (Major guilty pleasure, btw.) For fans of young adult, love stories, and dystopian.I’ll probably end up reviewing these as a series whole instead of individually, since they are flying too fast.

2. What I recently finished: The Selection and The Elitebooks one and two of Kiera Cass’s Selection series, as well as my “current read” last week, Champagne Baby by Laure Dugas. Like I said earlier, I was engrossed pretty thoroughly with Kiera Cass’s series and they are ridiculously quick reads. Laure Dugas’s beautiful memoir, an ARC from Penguin’s First To Read program, is a beautiful coming of age story in which Laure learns to love the family business- everything wine. This was a fun read for the memoir aspect and especially for the wine fact, which are presented in a fun way without a hint of dryness (no pun intended.)

3. What I think I’ll read next: Here is another ties, and an unnecessarily complicated answer. I am in the middle of an Irish countryside murder mystery called Buried in the Bog by Sheila Connelly (book one of the County Cork mysteries), but it is a slow read, and doubt I will finish it by next week. However,  I’m receiving Eva Gates’s Reading Up a Storm, book three of her Lighthouse Library Mystery series, so that’s probably what I’ll devour next. This series follows a librarian named Lucy who lives in a lighthouse in Outer Banks with her cat and books. It is the cutest series ever (besides the murders) and incorporates all of my loves: Books, the beach, cats, and lighthouses.

So that’s all for now, folks! I’d love to know your WWW Wednesday answers, or your first book you are planning for beach weekend number one: Memorial Day!!

    1. I do enjoy it, even if it is a little simple for me. I can’t help but compare it to Hunger Games a lot. Child 44 looks really good also! I didn’t even know it is a movie (embarrassing). Thank you for the fun challenge!
